What is the N.D.A.A. and what is P.A.N.D.A.??

First off, PANDA is the acronym for “ People Against the NDAA “. What is the NDAA? That is acronym for “ National Defense Authorization Act “, which is a US federal law specifying the budget and expenditures of the US Dept of Defense. Sounds reasonable and harmless right? After all for 54 consecutive years and counting, the USA has signed an NDAA. There is more to this law than just the yearly budget for the Department of Defense. For instance, in 2008 the NDAA gave the executive branch of the government even MORE power and authority. [1][2]

So what do YOU need to know about the NDAA? Why are people so vehemently against it? Each year it infringes upon our civil liberties. If you are accused of a committing a crime, you have the right to a fair trial right? Not if the government declares you a terrorist! Okay that sounds extreme right? An American born tax paying citizen couldn’t possibly be declared a citizen could they? If you are “reverent of individual liberty”, “suspicious of centralized federal authority”, “pay with cash”, “travel illogical distances”, “stockpile food” and any or all of the above (including over 200 other clues) you are a suspected terrorist.

The scariest part? You don’t need to be convicted of being a terrorist to lose ALL of your rights…ONLY accused of being a terrorist.
